When using this feature, note that its five states are not mutually exclusive.

For example, if a mite is found on a plant, it could be a crop pest, a biological control agent, or a stored product mite. However, if its presence strongly correlates with plant damage, and the plant is a crop, it can be determined to be a crop pest.
So in choosing one or more states of this feature it will certainly help if you do know which category of concern your mite belongs to, But otherwise, it can help to know which taxonomic group your mite is in. See this "Quarantine-significant mite categories" page, which describes in detail the taxa that belong to each of this feature’s five categories.
Know that if you are still not sure which quarantine category the mite you see is in, you can always skip this feature.
