Hosts - vegetation and fungi

Host relationships can be informative, but one must remember that accidental associations are possible.

Most monogynaspidmonogynaspine:
(monogynaspid) representative of the mesostigmatan suborder Monogynaspida, characterized by having a single genital shield in the adult female that usually bears one pair of setae (st5) or may be nude.
mites found on leaves, small stems and fruit belong to the families Phytoseiidae, Blattisociidae, and Ascidae.

Fungal fruiting bodies, especially woody shelf fungi, can host a variety of monogynaspids, but certain genera of Digamasellidae, Ascidae, and Melicharidae are fungal specialists.

Flowers are home to several genera of Ameroseiidae, Melicharidae, and Blattisociidae, and some Phytoseiidae.
