Overview

This is a specialist feeding only on Asparagus.

Common names

Asparagus aphid.

Distribution

This aphid is distributed within the temperate regions of North America and Europe, but not in Asia or in regions south of the equator.

Host associations

It is known only to feed on asparagus (Asparagaceae).

Economic importance

It is solely important on asparagus crops. It has not been implicated in the transmission of any plant viruses.
