The state "neither
bulbs nor corms present" indicates that these organs do not occur
in a particular genus; do not use this state merely if, e.g., your specimen
is a cutting and does not include a bulb or cormcorm:
(n) a shortened, subterranean bulb-like stem or part of the stem, often bearing scale-like leaves
. If you cannot observe
the plant in situ, you should be able to determine the presence
or absence of a bulb or cormcorm:
(n) a shortened, subterranean bulb-like stem or part of the stem, often bearing scale-like leaves
if you have the whole plant, including roots.
