The longest dorsal setadorsal seta:
any seta on the dorsum; in the Eriophyoidea the scapular seta sc.
in the basalbasal:
towards the base of a structure; on a limb, towards the insertion on the body.
subsegment of tarsustarsus:
(pl. tarsi) the subdistal leg segment between the tibia and the pretarsus (apotele).
IV is simplesimple:
unadorned; simple setae are needle-like and without hairs or pectins.
in all described species of Phytoseiulus except for P. fragariae, where it is barbed.
