Genu IV macroseta

All of the setae on the genuagenu:
(pl. genua) (= patella) the 4th leg segment, between the femur and tibia.
of leg IV in Phytoseiulus longipes are similar in size, but the other species in the genus have one dorsal setadorsal seta:
any seta on the dorsum; in the Eriophyoidea the scapular seta sc.
that is much longer and is called a macroseta. This seta is simplesimple:
unadorned; simple setae are needle-like and without hairs or pectins.
in P. fragariae, but barbed in both P. macropilis and P. persimilis.
