Yucca glauca Nutt., Cat. Pl. Upper Louisiana no. 1898 (1813).
Fruits of a Yucca sp. are rarely encountered in exotic potpourris. These seem to be Y. glauca, Great Plains yucca or small soapweed. Capsules are cylindrical and septicidally deshiscent, revealing three locules, 5-8(-9) cm long x 3-4.5(-5) cm wide, very finely veined on the exterior.
Yucca glauca is native to North America; it has the most extensive distribution of any North American Yucca and is widely cultivated.
