Description

Winged fruits of the Burma padauk or maidu, known as “palbosa” in the potpourri trade, are essentially flat with an elevated center, 2-4 cm in diameter, on a 5-10 mm stem.

Nativity and distribution

Pterocarpus macrocarpus is native to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam.
