Leucospermum truncatulum (Salisb. ex Knight) Rourke, J. S. Afr. Bot. 33: 266 (1967).
Branchlets of patrysbos, about 10-15 cm long and often in flower, are sold as “snake tail” in the potpourri trade. The leaves are elliptic, acute, densely hairy, 10-25 mm long x 5-10 mm wide, overlapping each other. Flowers are small and yellow, 20 mm wide, and occur in clusters of two to eight, becoming crimson when mature.
Leucopspermum truncatulum is native to South Africa.
