Branches and fleshy cones of Himalayan pencil cedar sometime appear in potpourri. Imbricated leaves are rhombic, obtuse, with an oblong-dorsal glad, tightly appressed to the branchlets. The cones are black, often with a blue glaucous coating, 6-7 mm in diameter, 2-3(-4)-seeded.
Juniperus semiglobosa is native to Asia.
