U.S. quarantine notes

This species was not intercepted from 1995 to 2012 but it was commonly intercepted before that time. We have examined specimens taken in quarantine from Indonesia, Thailand, and China, all on sugarcane. ScaleNet lists hosts in the Poaceae, primarily Saccharum, from all zoogeographic regions. Two species of Aclerda other than A. takahashii and A. sacchari Teague have been intercepted at a U. S. port-of-entry including: Aclerda berlesii Buffa (Italy, on Arundo and "reed stem"); and Aclerda oaxacaensis McConnell (Mexico, on Bamboo).
