Limitations to the key

This key has been constructed for identifying all genera and species of Ironclad and Cylindrical Bark Beetles known to occur in North America north of Mexico. This key does not include taxa known to occur in Mexico. It is very possible (and likely) additional zopherid taxa have been and will be introduced into or discovered within North America.
