Diagnosis

2.0−2.1 mm long (mean = 2.03 mm; n = 3); 2.5−2.86 times as long as wide. This species is distinguished by the elytralelytral:
pertaining to the elytra
discdisc:
the flat central upper surface of any body part (e.g. pronotum and elytra)
shallowly transversely impressedimpressed:
a depression in a surface
with a saddle-like depression; elytralelytral:
pertaining to the elytra
interstriae flat with moderate interstrial tuberclestubercle:
a small knob-like or rounded protuberance of the exoskeleton
posteriorposterior:
toward the rear end; opposite of anterior
to the saddle; and elytralelytral:
pertaining to the elytra
declivitydeclivity:
downward slope of either the pronotum or elytra
steep, slightly flattened.

It closely resembles M. sagmatus but is distinguished by the discaldiscal:
pertaining to the disc of either the pronotum or elytra
impression shallower, antero-posteriorly broader, with gentler anterioranterior:
the front or forward; opposite of posterior
and posteriorposterior:
toward the rear end; opposite of anterior
slopes, strial punctures on impression without granulesgranule:
a small rounded protuberance, like grains of sand
, interstrial tuberclestubercle:
a small knob-like or rounded protuberance of the exoskeleton
on discdisc:
the flat central upper surface of any body part (e.g. pronotum and elytra)
behind saddle moderately sized with rounded apices pointing dorsally, not backwardly hooked.
