Diagnosis

1.75−1.95 mm long (mean = 1.83 mm; n = 5); 2.69−2.79 times as long as wide. This species is distinguished by the elytralelytral:

the flat central upper surface of any body part (e.g. pronotum and elytra)
shallowly transversely impressedimpressed:
a depression in a surface
with a saddle-like depression; elytralelytral:
pertaining to the elytra

It closely resembles M. undulatus but is distinguished by the discaldiscal:

Remarks

The specimens from Thailand were included under M. undulatus (Sampson) by Beaver et al. (2014).
