Fruit a cypsela, oblong to oblanceolate, plump to somewhat puckered, sometimes slightly dorsally curved base towards apex, mildly compressed, cross-section elliptic to oblong, 0.6–0.8 mm long x 0.2–0.3 mm wide x 0.1–0.2 mm thick. Surface light to dark brown (darker at the ends, lighter fruits may be immature), typically smooth to weakly papillate-roughened in some specimens, glabrous, with a light sheen, typically with a thin longitudinal ridge on the dorsal and ventral sides. Pappus of barbellate bristles, easily deciduous.

Style base missing or inconspicuous (pointy remnant) or prominent (lobed), whitish, apical scar ca. 0.1 mm across.

Fruit attachment scar basal, white, shiny, ring-like.
