Fruit a cypsela, oblong to oblanceolate or obcuneate, narrowed slightly at apex, sometimes slightly curved, cross-section terete, 1.8–2.4 mm long x 0.6–0.8 mm diameter. Surface glabrous, with 10 tubercled ribs (rarely smooth, furrows often gland-dotted), pale yellow to orangish-brown. Pappus none.
Style base cylindrical, whitish, sitting atop a round mound.
Fruit attachment scar at base, protruding, typically obliquely positioned, inconsistently- and irregularly-shaped, ± flanged, granular, whitish, relatively large.
