Potential problems with identification

Diabrotica dmitrygloblini Derunkov, Prado, Tishechkin, Konstantinov is very similar to D. viridicollis Jacoby, D. v2n and D. v3n. They can be separated by the following features: head is green with brownish olive vertexvertex:
the upper part of the head capsule behind the eyes
in D. v1n, yellow with chestnut vertexvertex:
the upper part of the head capsule behind the eyes
in D. viridicollis and black in D. v2n and D. v3n; pronotumpronotum:
the notum of the prothorax with highly sclerotized pronotal disc
is nonfoveate in D. viridicollis, but foveate in D. v1n, D. v2n and D. v3n; pronotumpronotum:
the notum of the prothorax with highly sclerotized pronotal disc
is not shagreened in D. v1n, but shagreened in D. v3n; black bandsbands:
(here) transverse maculae on the beetle elytra
are reduced to a substantial degree in D. v1n, but strongly marked in D. viridicollis; body shape is more convex and wider in D. viridicollis than in D. v1n and D. v3n; D. v1n is larger than D. v3n, but smaller than D. v2n .
