Body length 5.9-7.3 mm. Body width 3.1-3.3 mm. Head   basic color black. Antennae yellow. Maxillary palpi black or chestnut, labrumlabrum:
the "upper lip" of beetles, a movable sclerite joined under clypeus
   black or piceous. Pronotumpronotum:
the notum of the prothorax with highly sclerotized pronotal disc
 yellow or mustard yellow, subquadrate, weakly   bifoveate, with wide shallow foveae, not shagreened. Scutellumscutellum:
small, usually triangular shield between the bases of elytra
 yellow. Elytra   yellow or rufous, maculatemaculate:
(here) marked by maculae or patches of a different shape and size, usually clearly separated from each other
, with two short black lines or small spots behind the   middle of each elytronelytron:

Diabrotica fulvicornis Jacoby is very similar   to D. apicicornis Jacoby, D. brevilineata Jacoby, D.   palpalis Jacoby, D. septemliturata Jacoby and D. sedata   Baly. They can be separated by the following features: head of D.   fulvicornis is black, but yellow in D. apicicornis, D.   brevilineata, D. septemliturata and D. sedata; maxillar   palpi of D. fulvicornis are black, but yellow in D.   brevilineata, D. septemliturata and D. sedata; labrumlabrum:
the "upper lip" of beetles, a movable sclerite joined under clypeus
 of   D. fulvicornis is black, but yellow in D. brevilineata; femora   of D. fulvicornis are yellow, but black in D. apicicornis;   D. sedata is larger on average than D.   fulvicornis.
