Morphology-based identification
Zeugodacus diversus can be identified reliably based on morphological characters. Spot characters are the almost all black scutum, a small infuscation around CuA1, and a keel-shaped extension of the supernumerary lobe in the males.

Zeugodacus diversus is widespread across mainland Southeast Asia from Pakistan to Vietnam. Its native range is unclear.
