Yellow tortrix is present in: northern Europe (England, Norway, and countries bordering the Baltic Sea), eastern Europe (Germany south to the Caucasus Mountains), far eastern Asia (Korea, China). Recently intercepted from the Netherlands.
Yellow tortix is a pest of the following plants: cut flowers of Astrantia sp. and Spiraea sp.
Recorded to feed on Amygdalus nana, Betula nana, Cerasus sp., Malus domestica, Prunus persica, Prunus spinosa, Spiraea sp., and Vaccinium sp.
Evidence of yellow tortix damage includes: rolled leaves, defoliaton, general loss of plant vigor, and reduced quality of fruit.

Adult wingspan is 18–20 mm.
Larvae and pupae maybe hiding within the structures.
