Taxonomic history

Webbia dasyurus [sic] Browne, 1981a: 133.

Diagnosis

2.8−2.9 mm long (mean = 2.83 mm; n = 3); 2.8−2.95 times as long as wide. This species is distinguished by the circumdeclivital margin carinate smooth, unarmed by granulesgranule:
a small rounded protuberance, like grains of sand
or tubercles; declivitaldeclivital:
pertaining to the elytral declivity
face densely covered with thick semi-recumbentsemi-recumbent:
pertaining to setae that are in between erect and recumbent, usually at a 45 degree angle
golden setae; and declivitydeclivity:
downward slope of either the pronotum or elytra
unarmed by any spinesspine:
an elongate projection of the exoskeleton that is longer than its basal width
or processes.
