Fruit a cypsela, narrowly oblong to linear, ± compressed, cross-section typically 4-sided, (4.5)6–7 mm long x 0.7–1 mm wide x 0.2–0.3 mm thick. Surface blackish-brown, covered with lighter brown antrorse hairs. Pappus persistent, composed of 2 sets of scales (3–5 shorter ovate scales, 0.5–1 mm long, 1–2 longer lanceolate scales, 2–3 mm long, with minute marginal antrorse hairs).

Style base inconspicuous, apical scar (when scales are removed) oval, whitish, 0.3–0.4 mm across.

Fruit attachment scar basal, positioned at a right-angle.
