Fruit a cypsela, oblong to mildly oblanceolate, plump to somewhat puckered, sometimes slightly dorsally curved base towards apex, mildly compressed, cross-section elliptic to oblong, 0.7–0.9 mm long x 0.2–0.3 mm wide x 0.1–0.2 mm thick. Surface brown (darker at the ends), glabrous, smooth or papillate-roughened, with a light sheen, with a thin, sometimes dark longitudinal ridge on the dorsal and ventral sides. Pappus of barbellate bristles, loosely coherent basally, easily deciduous, released in clusters or easily fragmented rings.
Style base missing or inconspicuous (pointy remnant) or prominent (lobed), whitish, apical scar ca. 0.1 mm across.
Fruit attachment scar basal, white, shiny, ring-like.
