Perianth tube formation

Use this feature to determine if perianth segments or tepals on a flower are free or fused into a tube. Note that perianth segments or tepals may be closely appressed but not fused.

Note: if you have Asteraceae heads, this feature applies only to disc florets, not ray florets.

perianth segments not fused, not forming a tube

Use this state if perianth segments or tepals are completely distinct or fused only at the very base and not appearing to be a tube.
