Roses are among the most popular flowers in the world, and may be the most widely grown for export in Africa. Inflorescence types include long and short stem solitary standards, sprays -- with multiple flowers on stems, small-flowered sweetheart roses, and outdoor-grown Garden types. The origin of modern hybrids, of which there are many, is uncertain.
