Lilium L.	lily	Liliaceae

A huge number of hybrids are bred for the cut flower market. These are divided into three groups: Orientals (Lilium speciosum Thunb.) are tall, have large, often outward-facing or nodding flowers; Asiatics (L. xelegans) are shorter, with smaller and generally upward-facing flowers; LA hybrids are L. longiflorum Thunb. x Asiatic hybrids.
