Description

Fruit: A legume; unilocular; 8–9 cm long; 0.8–1.1 cm wide; 0.1–0.2 cm thick; 2–9 times longer than wide, or more than 9 times longer than wide; with deciduous androecial sheath; with deciduous corolla; with deciduous calyx; without orifice formed by curving of fruit or fruit segments; curved; not plicate; not twisted; symmetrical; linear; not inflated; compressed; without beak; short tapered at apex to rounded at apex; aligned with longitudinal axis of fruit; short tapered at base; aligned with longitudinal axis of fruit; with the apex and base uniform in texture; coriaceous; seed chambers externally visible; margin constricted; margin constricted along both margins; margin without sulcus; margin plain; wing(s) absent; stipitate; with the stipe up to 10 mm long; indehiscent (, segmented and separating transversely into 1-seeded segments, remaining attached to sutures). Replum invisible. Epicarp dull; monochrome; brown; with surface texture uniform; glabrous; eglandular; without spines; not smooth; with elevated features; veined; reticulately veined; not tuberculate; not exfoliating; without cracks; without embedded tissue, much thicker than epicarp, running from base to apex. Cuticle not exfoliating; not inflated; not wrinkled. Testa present; without pieces of adhering epicarp; not adhering to endocarp; free from endocarp; glossy; not modified by a bloom; colored; monochrome; brown; glabrous; smooth; chartaceous.
