Dehiscence of valves along both sutures; apical and down; active; with valves reflexing. Replum invisible. Epicarp monochrome; brown; with surface texture uniform; pubescent but soon deciduous, or glabrate, or pubescent and indurate (minutely puberulent); with hairs erect; with 1 type of pubescence; puberulent; with pubescence brown; with pubescence uniformly distributed; with simple hairs (straight); pliable; with hair bases plain; eglandular; without spines; smooth (difficult to determine from old fruiting specimen); not tuberculate; not exfoliating; without cracks; without embedded tissue, much thicker than epicarp, running from base to apex. Mesocarp absent. Endocarp present; visible; dull; opaque; monochrome; tan; smooth; without adhering pieces of testa; nonseptate; chartaceous; not exfoliating; remaining fused to epicarp; without wings; entire. Seed(s) 1–5 (Hernández and Guinet, 1990); length parallel with fruit length; neither overlapping nor touching; in 1 series. Funiculus 1–1.5 mm long; of 1 length only; flattened; triangular. Aril absent.

Seed: 3–5 mm long (Hernández and Guinet, 1990); 2–3.5 mm wide (Hernández and Guinet, 1990); 2 mm thick (estimated); not overgrown; not angular; symmetrical; ovate (to widely ovate); with surface smooth; without visible radicle and cotyledon lobes (assumed); without hilar sinus; without umbo on seed faces (assumed); without medial ridge on each face. Cuticle not exfoliating; not inflated; not wrinkled. Testa present; without pieces of adhering epicarp; not adhering to endocarp; free from endocarp; not modified by a bloom; colored; monochrome; dark brown; glabrous; smooth. Pleurogram regular present; 90 %. Pseudopleurogram absent. Fracture lines absent. Rim absent. Wing(s) absent.
