Diagnosis

Body length 6.0-6.9 mm, width 3.2-3.9 mm. Head basic color black. Antennae filiformfiliform:
slender antennae with antennomeres of similar shape
, inner margin of antennomeres 4-11 with thin longitudinal costa, bi- or tricolored, antennomeres 1-3 uniformly yellow or with darkened upper side, antennomeres 4-8 gradually infuscated, antennomeres 9-10 uniformly light cadmium, antennomereantennomere:
"segment" of antenna, more or less clearly separated
11 completely light cadmium or dark apically. Maxillary palpi yellow, labrumlabrum:
the "upper lip" of beetles, a movable sclerite joined under clypeus
black. Pronotumpronotum:
the notum of the prothorax with highly sclerotized pronotal disc
yellow, yellow ocher or ochraceous orange, subquadrate, weakly bifoveate, with wide shallow foveae, shagreened with microsculture narrow, long meshes. Scutellumscutellum:
small, usually triangular shield between the bases of elytra
yellow or amber yellow. Elytra yellow or rufous, with two black bandsbands:
(here) transverse maculae on the beetle elytra
, basalbasal:
of or pertaining to the base, as in the first, or basal segment of an appendage; opposite of apical
band is reduced to three branches of approximately the same length, posteriorposterior:
the region of the body parts of the beetle furthest from the head
band may be reduced to two transverse spots. Epipleura completely yellow, sutural anglesutural angle:
the posterior angle or apex of the elytron near the suture
of elytronelytron:
(pl. elytra) the fore highly sclerotized wing of beetle
round or obtuse-angled, punctation scattered, fine. Abdomen yellow. Legs yellow. Aedeagusaedeagus:
the main sclerotized part of the male genitalia; "aedeagus" is used here instead of "median lobe of aedeagus"
symmetric, with five internal sac scleritessclerites:
(here) the sclerotized hooks, spines or plates in the internal sac
.

Potential problems with identification

D. sel Derunkov, Prado, Tishechkin, Konstantinov is similar to D. trifurcata Jacoby. They can be separated by the following features: pronotumpronotum:
the notum of the prothorax with highly sclerotized pronotal disc
is strongly shagreened in D. sel, but not shagreened in D. trifurcata; tarsi and tibiae are yellow in D. sel, but black or bicolored in D. trifurcata.
