Potential problems with identification

Diabrotica p2n sp. nov. is very similar to D. pulchra (Sahlberg), D. p3n and D. p4n. They can be separated by the following features: there are four internal sac scleritessclerites:
(here) the sclerotized hooks, spines or plates in the internal sac
in D. p2n, five scleritessclerites:
(here) the sclerotized hooks, spines or plates in the internal sac
in D. pulchra and D. p4n; legs are black in D. p2n, but yellow in D. p3n and yellow or with bicolored femora in D. pulchra and D. p4n.
