Diagnosis

Body length 5.4-6.0 mm. Body width 2.9-3.2 mm. Head basic color orange or rufous. Antennae filiformfiliform:

Potential problems with identification

Diabrotica fucata (Fabricius) is very similar to D. luciana Blake. They can be separated by the following features: there are two maculae on the elytra of D. fucata, but three maculae in D. luciana; internal sac sclerite 4c in D. fucata is longer than in D. luciana.
