  • the lateral margins of the pronotumpronotum:
occupies all of dorsal part of the prothorax; in anterior angles or posterior angles there may be a small tubercle or pore with a seta
and the elytra without long, stiff spines

  • the pronotumpronotum:
occupies all of dorsal part of the prothorax; in anterior angles or posterior angles there may be a small tubercle or pore with a seta
with a seta in each anterior angle
  • the apex of the elytra without a tooth-like projection
  • the elytra without costae, rounded
  • the antennae with 11-antennomeres, pectinate (comb-like) from antennomeres 4 to 10

Description

Body broadly oval, flattened.

Head: vertexvertex:
occupies the area behind and between the eyes
punctate; eyeeye:
elongate, slightly prominent, multifaceted; usually slightly kidney-shaped
finely faceted.

Antenna: with 11-antennomeres, 1/2 length of body; antennomeres 2 and 3 short, following antennomeres longer; male pectinate from antennomeres 4 to 10; female filiform, with projection on antennomeres 4 to 10.

Pronotum: at midline 2x as wide as long; lateral margin strongly rounded, narrowing anteriorly; disc impunctate; large shallow punctures present laterally and basally.

Scutellum: elongate triangle.

Elytron: oblong-oval, wider than pronotumpronotum:
occupies all of dorsal part of the prothorax; in anterior angles or posterior angles there may be a small tubercle or pore with a seta
; margined laterally; pygidium visible from above; with 10 rows of punctures plus scutellar row.

Venter: with 5 visible abdominal sterna.
