Anisodera excavata Baly.
Lasiochila can be distinguished by the following combination of characters:
Body parallel-sided; subcylindrical; color chestnut-brown or with reddish pronotumpronotum:
occupies all of dorsal part of the prothorax; in anterior angles or posterior angles there may be a small tubercle or pore with a seta
and dark elytra.
Head: large; vertexvertex:
occupies the area behind and between the eyes
with faint medial carina; flattened between antennae; labrumlabrum:
triangular, joined to the clypeus and the oral orifice
short, emarginate, covered in long stiff setae; eyes elongate-oval, coarsely facetted.
Antenna: ½ body length; filiform; antennomere 3 longest; 8 to 11 similar to preceding.
Pronotum: subquadrate; lateral margin slightly sinuate, narrowly margined; anterior margin straight; posterior margin sinuate; surface punctate, punctures less dense along anterior margin; seta present in anterior angle.
Scutellum: cordate.
Elytron: lateral margin straight, smooth; exterior apical angle rounded; apex rounded; sutural angle with tooth; humerus rounded, not produced; with 10 rows of regular punctures plus short scutellar row; even interspaces weakly costate.
Leg: long, slender; femurfemur:
largest part of the leg; more or less cylindrical, attached at base to trochanter and at apex to tibia
unarmed.
