Tsuga canadensis (L.) Carriêre, Traité gén. Conif. 189 (1855).

Description

The brown cones of Canadian hemlock are often sold as “omorica cones” in the potpourri trade. Cones are 1.5-2 cm long x 1-1.5 cm wide.

Nativity and distribution

Tsuga canadensis is native to eastern and central North America.
