Description

Fruits of the tree lily are rarely encountered in potpourri. Typically, these are egg-shaped, woody, ribbed capsules, 2-3 cm long x 1.5-2 cm wide.

Nativity and distribution

Portlandia grandiflora is native to the Caribbean but widely cultivated in the tropics.
