Oroxylum indicum (L.) Vent., Decas gen. nov. 8 (1808).

Description

Seeds of the midnight horror are sold in the potpourri trade as “angel wings.” These flat, round seeds, about 1 cm in diameter, have tissue-paper thin, winged extensions, 3-5 cm in diameter.

Oroxylum indicum is native to Asia.
