Leucadendron platysperum R.Br., Trans. Linn. Soc. 5: 63 (1810).

Description

Sold in the potpourri trade as “platyspermum cones,” the hard, woody bracts of these multiple fruits look like pine cones, 5-6 cm long x 4-5 cm wide.

Nativity and distribution

Leucadendron platyspermum is native to South Africa.
