Description

The fruits of the fuchsia gum are sometimes encountered in potpourri imported from Australia. The capsules are pyriform, quadrangular, 4-winged, 2.5-6 cm long x 1.5-3.5 cm wide, with 3-4 valves, enclosed, red when fresh, drying dark golden brown.

Nativity and distribution

Eucalyptus forrestiana is native to Western Australia but cultivated elsewhere.
