Cedrus deodara (Roxb. Ex D. Don) G. Don, J. C. Louson, Hort. Brit. Ed. 1: 388 (1830).

Description

The cone tips of the deodar cedar look like wooden roses and are aptly named “cedar roses” in the potpourri trade. Cedar roses vary from 2 to 4 cm wide.

Nativity and distribution

Cedrus deodara is native to Afghanistan, India, Nepal, and Pakistan but widely cultivated worldwide.
