Diagnostic Features of Larvae
- Mature larva. Inseparable from those of Ceroplesis species. It very closely resembles Ceroplesis intermedia, from which it differs in the conical tubercles on abdominal tergite 9 which are subcontiguous, being separated by less than the basal width of one tubercle, and by the frons which is much more extensively ferruginous. Length up to 26 mm; maximum breadth (at prothorax) 6.9 mm. Adapted from Duffy (1957).
