Fruit a cypsela, oblong to oblanceolate, mildly compressed, asymmetrical (abaxially ± gibbous distally), cross-section ± elliptic to 4-sided due to 4 longitudinal ribs, 1–2 mm long x 0.4–0.6 mm wide x 0.3–0.5 mm thick. Surface glabrous, straw-colored to very pale brown or grayish, smooth, with 4 whitish longitudinal ridges (at least 2 of which are typically associated with narrow reddish-brown mucilaginous glands covering over half the length of the fruit). Pappus a short crown to 0.1 mm long x 0.3–0.5 mm across (can be mistakenly interpreted as though there is no pappus).

Style base inconspicuous, cylindrical, whitish.

Fruit attachment scar basal, cup-like, whitish.
