Description (diagnostics are in brown)

Fruit a berry with multiple seeds, ellipsoid or ovoid to globose, shiny, green turning orange or red, 3–9 mm long.

Seed elliptical, angular or reniform to comma-shaped in outline, typically deeply notched along margin where hilum occurs, strongly compressed, cross-section oblong to lanceolate (sometimes curved), (1.5)2–2.5 (3.5) mm long x (1.5)2–2.5(3) mm wide x 0.9–1.3 mm thick. Surface sparkly under magnification, may be dull or rough when dried bits of pericarp remain; otherwise, surface is a maze of minute, low, undulating ridges, yellowish-tan to orangish-brown.

Hilum marginal, in notch, typically opening towards one of the flat faces, sunken, ± round (often gaping) to elliptic, 0.2–0.7 mm long.
