Fruit a capsule, nearly globose, three-lobed, three-chambered (one seed per chamber), 1–1.5 mm long, glabrous or hairy.
Seed ovate to lanceolate in outline, cross-section sharply 4-angled, sharply truncate (and often sunken) at chalazal end, 1–1.5 mm long x ca. 0.5 mm wide. Surface semiglossy, glabrous, smooth (sometimes slightly wrinkled), cobblestone-like (seen under magnification), white with purplish undertones to brown. Caruncle absent. A prominent seam (raphe) on the ventral side connects the hilum to the chalazal area.
Hilum darker than testa, ± round.
