Fruit a cypsela, obcuneate to obovate, mildly dorsiventrally compressed, curved towards ventral side (dorsally gibbous, sometimes a distinct dorsal longitudinal rib is evident), cross-section ± trigonous, (2)2.2–2.5(3) mm long x 0.9–1.3 mm wide x 0.7–1.1 mm thick. Surface glabrous, irregularly lumpy (smoother fruits may be undeveloped or aborted), tan to brown to black with various markings, often darker on the dorsal side. Apex beaked, beak offset ventrally, ascending. Pappus none.
Style base missing or inconspicuous. Apical scar 0.3–0.4 mm across.
Fruit attachment scar basal but obliquely angled, light brown, a protrusion that can be easily damaged or knocked off of the fruit body, 0.4–0.5 mm across.
Similar Species
It is probably not possible to distinguish this species from Deinandra pallida based on disseminule alone. Also, compare to Centromadia pungens.
