Fruit a dry schizocarp, cylindrical to ovoid, slightly compressed laterally, beaked, 3–4 mm long (including beak) x ca. 1 mm wide, dark greenish-brown, consisting of two one-seeded indehiscent segments (mericarps) that separate at maturity. Carpophore and pedicel may remain attached to individual mericarps.

Mericarp terete to slightly flattened on adaxial side (convex on abaxial side), linear-ovate or lanceolate in outline, body ca. 2/3 and beak ca. 1/3 the length of the mericarp. Beak glabrous; body surface covered with stiff hooked hairs. Abaxial surface not ridged. Abaxial surface with a deep longitudinal groove. Oil ducts not evident in cross-section.

Endosperm rolled inward along groove.
