Description (diagnostics are in brown)

Fruit a globular capsule dehiscing near the equator (the top opening like a lid) at maturity to release the many seeds.

Seeds polymorphic based on position within fruit, obpyramidal to 3–5-sided, angles acute, 1–1.5 mm long (the longest axis) x ca. 1 mm wide x 0.7–1 mm thick (from basal hilum to flat apex). Surface black to brown, with light brown ornate tubercles looking scaly and almost forming a reticulum over entire surface (except for hilum).

Hilum dark brown, lanceolate, up to 0.7 mm long, covering most of the base of the seed.
