Crossvein dm-cu is a relatively short, more or less transverse vein that connects veins M and Cu₁ at approximately the distal third of the wing. Vein M is a longitudinal vein that ends slightly posterior to the wing apex. It apex is anteriorly curved to varying degrees in most species of Anastrepha. Vein Cu₁ is the next longitudinal vein posterior to vein M.
