‘Borneo’, East & West Malaysia, Thailand

Host plants

associated with Dipterocarpaceae (Dipterocarpus, Hopea, Shorea) (Browne 1961b, Beaver and Browne 1975, 1979)

As in W. biformis, brood size can be large (up to 87) (Beaver and Browne 1978). The majority of the records from Thailand listed under this species by Beaver et al. (2014) should be transferred to W. turbinata Maiti and Saha. The records from the southern provinces of Chumphon and Nakhon Sri Thammarat are correct.
