Xerochrysum bracteatum (Vent.) Tzvelev, Novosti Sist. Vyssh. Rast. 27: 151 (1990).


Strawflowers are infrequently encountered in potpourri in shades of either beige or golden yellow. Flowers vary from 1-5 cm in diameter, often fully open with reflexed ray florets and fibrous disk.

Nativity and distribution

Xerochyrsum bracteatum is native to Australia but cultivated worldwide.
