Senna alexandrina Mill., Gard. Dict. Ed. 8: Senna no. 1 (1768).


Fruits of Indian senna are infrequently encountered in imported potpourri. These legumes are flat and black, apex rounded, 2-5 cm long x 1-2 cm wide.

Nativity and distribution

Senna alexandrina is native to Africa, India, and Pakistan.
